GridLoop is provided by ODZ Creations. This policy explains how we handle information when you use GridLoop and contact us for support. For privacy questions or requests, email contact@odzcreations.com.
Account and profile information. We process your email address, authentication information, account identifier, username, and information you add to your profile, such as your location, biography, profile photo, social links, and garage listings. We use this information to create and secure your account, display your profile, and provide the app’s features.
Location and ride information. With your device permission, the app accesses precise location to show your position and record rides. Ride information can include coordinates, routes, timestamps, distance, duration, and territory information. We use this information for ride recording, territory calculations, statistics, rankings, and detecting invalid ride activity. Approximate location or a city, state, and country you provide can also support maps and regional rankings.
When you start a ride recording, location access can continue through a foreground service while the app is in the background or your screen is off. You can stop recording in the app or revoke location permission in your device settings. Restricting permission prevents features that need location from working. Revoking permission does not delete previously saved rides.
Social activity and content. We process information you submit or create, including friendships and other in-app connections, messages, comments, reactions, photos, videos, profile content, and garage information. We use this information to deliver social features and show content to its intended audience. In-app connections are different from your phone’s address book.
The Social feed uses your accepted in-app friendships to show your activity and your friends’ activity in chronological order. We store activity records for album uploads, published loop summaries, territory captures and losses, and new garage listings, together with account identifiers and timestamps. We store reactions and comments to display discussions and reaction counts; a photo’s feed entry and profile album use the same reactions and comments.
Usage and technical information. App services and integrated SDKs can process app interactions, search requests, device or installation identifiers, IP addresses, crash logs, diagnostics, and performance information. These support service delivery, troubleshooting, reliability, security, and usage analysis. Search requests are processed to return results; this does not necessarily mean the app keeps a separate search-history feature.
Support communications. If you contact us, we process your email address, message, and any information you provide to answer questions, resolve problems, and handle privacy or account-deletion requests.
Other users. Profile information, usernames, territory ownership, rankings, and content you make visible through the app can be seen by other users according to the feature and applicable privacy settings. Messages and shared media are delivered to their recipients. Recipients may retain copies of content they receive.
The Social feed shows activity to its author and accepted friends, subject to blocking. This feed filter does not make otherwise public profile albums or territory boundaries friends-only: photos and their album discussions can be viewed by other signed-in users who are not blocked. Feed discussions about loops, territory events, and garage listings are available to the post owner and their accepted friends. Hiding your friends list hides that list from profile visitors; it does not hide your published activity from accepted friends.
Private loop logs are visible only to their owner. Shared loop summaries can include distance, duration, speed statistics, and claimed area. The exact recorded GPS track, including its start and finish, is not included in friends’ loop views. Published territory boundaries remain visible on the map.
Service providers. We use services including Supabase for account authentication, databases, and file storage; Google Maps and Firebase for integrated app services; and email providers such as Resend and Zoho for account or support communications. These providers process information needed to provide their services. Google services may also process technical and usage information under Google’s privacy terms. Legal and security needs. We may disclose information when required by law or when necessary to investigate abuse, protect users, or protect the security and rights of the service.
We retain account information and saved content while needed to operate your account and provide the associated features. Support correspondence and technical records may be retained separately for support, security, and legal obligations. Retention differs by record type and service provider; deletion from the active service may not immediately remove copies from provider backups or logs. Those copies remain subject to the provider’s retention and deletion processes.
You can remove your reaction or delete your own comment from a discussion. Photo and post owners can also remove comments on their posts. Removing a source photo or stored activity record removes its associated feed discussion from the active database. Account deletion removes the account’s associated reactions and comments from the active database. Backup and legal-retention qualifications above still apply.
You can edit available profile fields, use the app’s privacy controls, choose whether to submit optional content, and manage device permissions in Android settings. You can contact us to request access, correction, or deletion of personal information. Rights available to you may depend on where you live.
We use encrypted connections and access controls to protect information. No storage or transmission system can guarantee absolute security. Keep your account credentials private.
We may update this policy when features or data practices change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice where required.
